Who we are
CrossFit is a 4,000 sq/ft. group coaching facility equipped with barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, bumper plates, medicine balls, climbing ropes, boxes, high walls, power sleds — and more or we will get it! CrossFit Pneuma is located in Mechanicsburg Pa. Our facility is conveniently accessible from Route 15 by two major highway exits (Bowmansdale/Mechanicsburg exit or Lisburn Road). We offer group and individual coaching, utilizing the CrossFit methodology. CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements—pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running—executed at high intensity.
What we do
At CrossFit Pneuma you will not find a traditional “globo-gym” with wall to wall elliptical’s and treadmills. Instead you will find pull-up bars, kettlebells, barbells and wide open space for squatting, running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing–performing ‘functional movements’ that strengthen and prepare your body for everyday life, sport and unpreparable situations. CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of ten recognized fitness domains. They are Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
Will I get bored?
Constantly varied programming dictates that you will rarely do the same workout twice, when workouts are repeated, they are performed primarily to measure your fitness. You will never have to program your own workouts or spend endless hours in the gym. Instead, each day a workout will be provided for you that is scalable to suit your fitness level. And because our workouts are rarely longer than 40 minutes they can fit into even the busiest schedules.
Who is CrossFit For?
CrossFit is a core strength and conditioning program for moms, dads, grandparents, as well as high school/collegiate athletes, military, police personnel, firefighters or other first responders. As trainers, we promise to scale appropriately, encourage, answer all questions, be patient, pay attention, keep you safe and most of all, listen. We’ll tell you when you’ve done well and what you need to improve on, making sure you get as much from your workout as you want. You’re here to change your life and we’re here to help.
